First Glimpse of the Hikage

I carefully entered what I thought to be Hikage-sama's office. Sure, the office was labeled, but I was so horrible with directions to the point that it made me paranoid and hyper aware of where I was going. I tilted my head to one side and listened for any possible occupants.

Seeing and hearing no one, I glanced around the room and saw a couch.

I walked over cautiously and took a seat, waiting for the appearance of the Hikage.

Lucia opened the door to her office and walked in. She saw Aki sitting on the couch at the side.
"Hello, what can I do for you?"

At the sight of the really pretty girl, I blinked, but regained my composure. I stood up immediately. I wasn't sure if she was the Hikage or not.

"Oh, hi. Umm... Are you the Hikage, by any chance...?" I asked shyly.

"Indeed I am. Lucia Silverwing. Pleased to meet you."
*Lucia smiled and held out her hand for Aki to shake.*

I blushed lightly and hesitantly took her hand. I shook it, and let go gently.

"Nice to meet you, Lucia-sama," I said, wondering if I should have bowed. I probably would have, if Lucia-sama hadn't offered her hand, first. Reluctantly, I decided to continue.

"I'm Tsukichou Aki. I just thought that I should... introduce myself to you as a new resident of this village. I think that... you were supposed to receive a file of my coming?" I fidgeted just slightly and shifted my weight to my right side.

"There's no need to be shy. And you don't need a file to come here, everyone is welcome. I've seen you fight and was wondering if I could give you a ranking exam."

I couldn't help blush anyway. I hated myself for it.

"Oh... You saw that? But... I lost..." I said, unconsciously tilting my head to one side and looking at her quizzically.

"Winning or loosing doesn't matter but I'm sure you want to rank up."

"Well... If you say so..." I said slowly and followed the Hikage out to be tested.
